Literature and Performance have lots of similarities and differences. In Korea, the definition of literature is a written art that expresses writer's thoughts or emotions, and mostly it contains poetry, novel, and play script. Performance is also a part of art, but it's expressed by human's action such as singing, acting, and dancing. Both literature and performance affect to people but in different ways. Usually readers of book are only allowed to use their eyes to accept literature, otherwise audiences of performance have one more sense which is hearing and it makes people to feel more realistic. However, literature requires full imagination from the readers so they are usually more conative than audiences of performance.
In literature there are two ways to write down the story. One is play script which is 99% full of lines, dialogue, and monologue. The other way is novel which is more common than a play and constituted by narration.
