Act 2 scene 2 is the most famous scene in the play Romeo and Juliet, because of whole bunch of romantic words and the unique setting. Also, scene 2 is my favorite scene because it reminds my personal memory and I feel I'm going to fall in love with somebody.
In the beginning of scene 2, Romeo compares Juliet to the sun which is the center of the universe.
"It is the East, and Juliet is the sun." (Act 2, scene 2, line 3). The sun provides the light which is one of the most important sources. Sun also keeps line for the whole world by gravity. Everything might be impossible to exist without the sun. Romeo is also saying that Juliet is lighting and wakes him up. He can't live without her just like living without the sun and it means Juliet is occupying so many part in Romeo's life. Also sun is so beautiful and powerful even hard to look at it directly and describe it in words. Romeo and Juliet also expose how much they love each other and confirm their love toward each other. Also, this scene is the first scene that Juliet exposes her true characteristic and honest feelings about Romeo. I could assume that Juliet had had similar life with Romeo in this scene. They were born in extremely rich household, but in fact both of them were living very lonely life. She talks about their identity mentioning their family name. She is ready to give up her family and identity, and also wants the same thing from Romeo. "Deny thy father and refuse thy name, Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I'll no longer be a Capulet." (Act 2 ,Scene 2, line 37-39). This line shows how much Juliet loves Romeo even though she doesn't know Romeo well. Also it tells that Juliet is out of her mind wtih love, because she loves Romeo more than her family name. She thinks their family name cannot be an obstacle for their love. She expects Romeo to get out of his family and make a new family with her. In normal way, it sounds extremely crazy. However Shakespeare depicts the craziness followed by love in very smooth way.

Juliet speech
In Act 2, scene 2 Juliet is saying that she also loves Romeo. She is just thinking out loud in lines 36 to 45. She asks why Romeo's name is Romeo, and she is ready to give up everything from where she belongs which is Capulet.

blog #3
My basic knowledge about the story of Romeo and Juliet is that both are teenagers and fell in love at one sight to each other. However unfortunately, the relationship between two households is extremely unpleasant. Thus, Romeo and Juliet fervently loved each other, but the story ended up in tragedy. They killed themselves because of each other which I thought it was kind of ridiculous.
My first impression of Act 1 was craziness of the world where Romeo and Juliet live and pity for them. I could feel that Romeo and Juliet are the biggest two victims of the extremely insane world which is made by their rich parents and guess why they fell in love to each other so fast. In Act 1, I could find Romeo's childish characteristic. When he have conversation with his uncle, he mentions about his lover and says "If my eyes ever lie to me like that, let my tears turn into flames and burn them for being such obvious liars! A woman more beautiful than the one I love? The sun itself has never seen anyone as beautiful since the world began." This part shows how Romeo is a babe in the woods. Also Romeo always talks about love and wonders about it, therefore I could assume that Romeo is in lack of love and that's the reason why he fell love with Juliet.
Act 1 scene 5 is the scene that mostly shows characteristics of Romeo and Juliet by their first meeting. First Romeo falls in love with Juliet at one sight even though he had his previous lover Rosaline. When he starts to talk to Juliet, he talks like flirting genius. Every word from those two teenagers made me feel that they are the perfect match to each other. Their actions toward each others were very straight forward and feisty without any anxiety or fear. It also means that they always have been desiring for the love.

literature and performance
Literature and Performance have lots of similarities and differences. In Korea, the definition of literature is a written art that expresses writer's thoughts or emotions, and mostly it contains poetry, novel, and play script. Performance is also a part of art, but it's expressed by human's action such as singing, acting, and dancing. Both literature and performance affect to people but in different ways. Usually readers of book are only allowed to use their eyes to accept literature, otherwise audiences of performance have one more sense which is hearing and it makes people to feel more realistic. However, literature requires full imagination from the readers so they are usually more conative than audiences of performance.
In literature there are two ways to write down the story. One is play script which is 99% full of lines, dialogue, and monologue. The other way is novel which is more common than a play and constituted by narration.

script is less than a play
I totally disagree with the saying "A script is obviously less than a play, while a production is more". First, play is derived from the script. Directors, actors, and staffs need to consider about the original author's purpose and try to express it.
Also script impacts to more part such as music or movies.
Second play is composed by one person, but everyone accept in their own way because script requires their full imagination. However play doesn't require anything from audience.
